The Joy Of Exercise Yes believe it or not exercise can be joyful, actually I can't say that I have met many unfit people who are happy about it. I am not suggesting marathon running or even any sort of competitive sport just exercise to improve the quality of your life. This sort of exercise need not be a chore and it will be a joy if it makes your overall health a lot better, which it has been proved to have the potential to do over and over again. I suggest starting very slowly walking is a fantastic exercise and can be done by anyone, anywhere, anytime. Ten to Fifteen minutes brisk walking every other day is a good place to start and if you consider yourself to be not capable of this then five to ten minutes will do fine. The most important thing about starting a life of healthy exercise is making a commitment and a start however small that commitment and start may be. A research study was undertaken on elderly people aged eighty to ninety year olds, they were put into an exercise regime of weights and some aerobic training (walking etc.) at the end of the study they had all shown improvement and muscle hypertrophy (muscle growth). Conclusion We are never to Old to improve our lot in life by exercise.
