Stretching

I personally believe stretching to be more important than exercise, this is purely because I believe that stretching makes you body more able to cope with exercise so even if you don't exercise and yet stretch daily your body will be flexible which will make exercise more comfortable and so you are more likely to do it.

There have been research study's done on stretching and everybody seems to have an opinion, well all I can do is tell you about my experiences with it and all these are good.

I have been stretching regularly for about fifteen years now and I can touch my toes (with my legs straight) and indeed put the palms of my hands on the floor. I still get muscular soreness from time to time but I am fully aware that this could be much worse if I did not stretch regularly besides this at the ripe young age of 43 I am able to get into positions that some twenty year olds can not.

I took up roller blading a couple of months ago, and I also put that down to my flexibility, fitness and a keen desire not to get too old too quickly.
